Seiza (正座 or 正坐, pronounced せいざ,sē-za, literally "proper sitting") is one of the traditional formal ways of sitting in Japan. It is a kind of kneeling on the floor, folding one's legs underneath one's thighs, while resting the buttocks on the heels.

Seiza in spankingEdit

Occasionally the seiza position is found in spanking scenes set in Japan as a variant of the Western over-the-knee position.
