Fat, in humans and animals, is loose connective tissue composed mostly of adipocytes, also called adipose tissue. Its main role is to store energy in the form of lipids, although it also cushions and insulates the body.
Female sex hormone causes fat to be stored in the buttocks, thighs, and hips in women. Men are more likely to have fat stored in the abdomen due to sex hormone differences. When women reach menopause and the estrogen produced by the ovaries declines, fat migrates from the buttocks, hips and thighs to the waist; later fat is stored in the abdomen. Between a third (in children and men) and half (in women) of the buttocks mass is subcutaneous fat.
Deposits of excess fat at the side of one's waistline are commonly referred to as love handles.
"Fat" as an adjectiveEdit
Fat can also be used as an adjective. It has several meanings; when referring to a person or animal, "to be fat" means to carry more fat than usual on their body. A fat person or animal is plump, not lean or thin.
Thesaurus: chubby, chunky, corpulent, lardy (slang), obese, overweight, plump, porky (slang), rotund, tubby, well-fed.
Obesity in spanking artEdit
While the majority of spanking art (drawings, paintings, digital and rendered art) depicts slim or athletic people, and by far in most models in spanking photos and actors and actresses in spanking videos, there are examples in which obese spanker and/or spankee characters appear. Among these is the rendered art of Euzinha.
