In folklore, mythology, and fiction, a ghost is the soul or spirit of a dead person or animal, or a "psychic imprint", that can appear, in visible form or other manifestation, to the living.

Sometimes ghosts are featured as spanker characters in spanking fiction. An example is the story Spanked by a Ghost by Susan Bell.

Occasionally, also a ghost can end up as a spankee, such as some works featuring Casper the Friendly Ghost.
