Jeans are pants (trousers) made from denim or dungaree cloth. Often the term "jeans" refers to a particular style of pants, called blue jeans and invented by Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss in 1873. Starting in the 1950s, jeans, originally designed for cowboys and miners, became popular among teenagers, especially members of the greaser subculture. Historic brands include Levi's, Lee, and Wrangler.
The word jeans comes from the French word for Genoa, Italy (Gênes), where the first denim trousers were made.
Today, jeans come in in various fits (including skinny, tapered, slim, straight, boot cut, Narrow bottom, Low waist, anti-fit, and flare), styles and colors. They are now a very popular article of casual dress around the world. However, blue jeans are particularly identified with American culture, especially the American Old West.
Jeans and sexualityEdit
Jeans are often thought to make the wearer's buttocks look particularly attractive and sexy. A sexual fetishism for Jeans is called jeans fetishism. Jeans, like leather trousers, are also particularly popular in gay culture and erotic art.
Many spanking video producers, especially RealSpankings.com and its subdivision RealStrappings.com, feature M/F and F/F scenes of implement spanking (paddling, caning, strapping, etc.) of girls wearing skin-tight jeans.
