The back of a human (left) leg.

The leg is the lower limb of the human body, extending from the hip to the ankle, and including the thigh, the knee, and the crus.

In colloquial language, leg sometimes refers to the crus only (the part of the lower limb that lies between the knee and the ankle, of which the back portion is known as the calf and the front portion is known as the shin).

Legs are often used for standing, walking, jumping, running, kicking, and similar activities, and are a significant portion of a person's mass. The largest bone in the human body, the femur, is in the leg.

At the back upper part of the thigh, each leg connects with one of the two buttocks. In the region between the legs are the genitals, the perineum and the anus.

Legs in spanking artEdit

F/m spanking drawing by Franco emphasizing the spankee's spread, muscular legs.

Legs play an important role in spanking art as they are directly connected to the buttocks. The spankee's legs are often prominently visible in a spanking drawing, rendered art, photo, or video. They can be held together or spread, free to kick, or tied. The back of the thighs and/or the calves can also be subject to corporal punishment themselves.

Another role comes to the spankers legs, e.g. in the OTK spanking position (and its variants) for the spankee to lie on, or in the waist-between-legs position to hold and restrain the spankee.

The leg's nudity, but also clothing worn on the legs (such as stockings, tights, pajamas, trousers, skirts) can enhance spanking art. See also pants down and skirt up.
